1 – Gross Weight is the total weight of the container (cylinder/drum/tank/tote) and its contents.
2 – Tare Weight is the weight of the empty container.
3 – Net Weight is Gross Weight minus Tare Weight which equals the actual weight of the contents (chemical/liquified gas/etc.) that are in the container.
Yes – In order to properly calibrate your scale prior to shipment, we need to know the approximate net weight of the chemicals you will be weighing. The dimension drawings for each scale show the available net weight ranges that the scale can be set to.
Yes it does.
Centered Loads – If your load will be stationary or your on/off loading of containers infrequent, you can use one of our scales with only one load cell. These scales offer either adjustable centering blocks or an adjustable backstop to aid in centering the load.
Off-centered Loads – If you have a need for frequent on/off loading of containers, you will need one of our scales with four load cells. With these scales the load can be placed anywhere on the platform and still obtain an accurate reading.
1 – The 4042ECO Series Economical Spill Containment Scales feature an economical single load cell design and are ideal for centered load applications. In addition, splashes and spills of hazardous chemicals are captured within the containment basin, but are not weighed by the scale.
2 – The 4042 Series Spill Containment Scales feature a four load cell design and are ideal for applications requiring frequent on/off loading of containers In addition, these scales accurately weigh the net remaining chemical that has NOT been dispensed including splashes and small spills that are contained within basin
We offer a comprehensive range of scales tailored for different chemical container sizes and applications. These include 150 lb. Cylinder Scales (for cylinders up to 12″ diameter), Ton Cylinder Scales (with capacities up to 2,000 lbs. per base), Drum, Tank & Platform Scales (ranging from 20″x18″ to 72″x72″ with capacities up to 10,000 lbs.), IBC Tote Scales (with capacities up to 10,000 lbs. and containment basins), and Spill Containment Scales (with capacities up to 8,000 lbs. and containment basins). Many models are available in stainless steel.
We emphasize “Corrosion Resistance” as a core standard. Our scales are designed to be rugged, accurate, and reliable, specifically built to withstand corrosive chemicals and challenging industrial environments. Manufactured in the USA, our scales also feature fully-featured indicating and control capabilities, including remote monitoring, and some models include integrated spill containment.
Yes – AccuPro options, such as a 2nd channel and additional set point relay contacts, can be added on at a later date, but the controller must be sent back to factory for the work to be completed.
Our scales and feeders offer advanced control options, including fully-featured indicating and control capabilities. This encompasses remote monitoring and various control options for volumetric feeders. We also provide scale controllers, such as economical 1 or 2 channel models and advanced 4 channel touch screen models, for accurate monitoring of water treatment and other chemicals.
We specialize in providing rugged, corrosion-resistant weighing solutions for accurately measuring and monitoring corrosive chemicals. Our product line includes various scales designed for harsh industrial, chemical, and water/wastewater treatment environments, along with volumetric screw feeders for dry powdered materials.
In addition to a full line of scales, we manufactures Volumetric Screw Feeders for dry powdered materials. These feeders come with hopper capacities up to 5.0 cu. ft. and can achieve feed rates up to 60.0 cu. ft. per hour. We also offer gravimetric feeding options and are suitable for applications like bag loading and solution mixing.
Our products are utilized globally across a diverse range of markets. These include Wastewater treatment, Municipal Water facilities, Industrial Process applications, Swimming Pools, the Chemical Industry, Specialty Gas, Fire Protection, Oil, Gas & Biofuel, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Poultry & Livestock, Food Processing, and Polymers & Plastics.
Yes, we provide direct replacements for certain equipment. An example provided is the direct replacement for Wallace & Tiernan 32-055 Volumetric Feeders.
