Gas Cabinet Scales
Custom Indicator Promotes Safety and Enables Easy Monitoring for Multi-Cylinder Fire Suppression System
Plans for the new 58 story Bank of America Tower in downtown Manhattan included a 4.6-megawatt cogeneration plant. The customer was looking for a way to increase safety and easily monitor the contents in gas cylinders as part of a carbon dioxide fire suppression system being installed in the cogeneration plant. The customer wanted to monitor the contents of five (5) CO2 cylinders simultaneously.
Scaletron has developed a new 4-20 mA circuit board which can now be included in all Scaletron gas cabinet scales. The new board is engineered to send the scale signal directly to the main system control panel as opposed to a local display. This affords systems engineers a time-saving and economical means of incorporating additional scales into large, existing monitoring systems.
Scaletron has expanded its line of gas cabinet scales with a larger version of the Model 2308 digital gas cabinet scale. The new Model 2308-12 scale base measures 12x12x1 inches and accommodates cylinders up to 12" in diameter. The new scale is designed for use in gas cabinets such as those found in the fire protection, liquefied gas, laboratory and medical gas industries, as well as refineries and semiconductor manufacturing.
Gas Cabinet Scale Features Stainless Steel Construction, Silicone Coated Load Cells, Enhanced Corrosion Resistance Inside and Out
Scaletron has introduced the Model 2308TM digital gas cabinet scale. Scaletron has designed the new scale with complete corrosion resistance inside and out. For weighing cylinders of 9" diameter or less, the Model 2308 is specifically for use in gas cabinets such as those found in the fire protection, liquefied gas, laboratory and medical gas industries, as well as refineries and semiconductor manufacturing.
